The Bank aims to maintain the highest possible standards both in the workplace and in dealings with third parties. However, it is recognised that it is possible for misconduct or unsafe practices to continue undetected for some time which can be to the long-term detriment of the Bank. The Bank’s Whistle Blowing Policy is designed to allow employees to disclose any concerns that they may have in a responsible way, without fear of victimisation or reprisal, and in the knowledge that the Bank will respect their confidentiality.
The aim of the Policy is to:
- Encourage all employees and all stakeholders to feel confident in raising serious concerns at the earliest opportunity and report matters they suspect may involve anything improper or unethical in order to be identified.
- Protect the right of all employees not to suffer a detriment as a result of the disclosure.
- Provide clear procedures for the reporting of such matters.
- Provide assurance that all disclosures will be taken seriously, treated confidential and managed in timely, consistent and professional manner.
